The short version We use a handful of cookies. Some are essential: without them you can't sign in or hold a seat while you check out. The rest help us understand and improve the site, or remember your preferences. You can turn the non-essential ones off at any time.

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers placed on your browser or hard drive when you visit a website, if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's storage. They help websites remember you between visits, store your preferences, and understand how people use the site.

2. Cookies we use

We use a small number of cookies, grouped into three categories: strictly necessary cookies (required for the site to function), performance cookies (anonymous analytics), and functionality cookies (remembering your preferences). We do not use targeting or advertising cookies.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to work. Without them you won't be able to sign in, complete a booking, or access any part of the site that requires authentication. They include a session cookie that keeps you signed in for the duration of your visit, and a security cookie used to protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be switched off.

4. Performance cookies

These allow us to count visitors and understand how people move around the site — which pages are popular, where people drop off, how long they spend reading. The data is anonymous and aggregated; it does not identify you personally. We use this information to improve the site. You can opt out of these via your browser settings.

5. Functionality cookies

These cookies remember choices you make — such as whether you've accepted a demo access pass or dismissed a notification. They make the site more convenient by not asking you the same question twice. They expire after 7 days.

6. Third-party cookies

Stripe, our payment processor, sets cookies during the checkout flow to prevent fraud and remember payment details. These are Stripe's cookies; we don't have access to them. You can read Stripe's cookie policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

7. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies by changing your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing a booking. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies while keeping first-party (strictly necessary) ones — this is usually the best compromise. Instructions for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy if we change the cookies we use. The current version is always at this URL with a date stamp. If you have questions, email privacy@timeforashow.com.
