Setting ticket prices

Time For A Show supports three pricing modes: simple price bands, an advanced per-section price matrix, and seat-by-seat pricing via a seating plan. You choose the mode when setting up your event, and can change it before any tickets are sold.

Simple price bands

Use this for most events. You define named tiers (e.g. Full price, Concession, Member) each with their own price.

  1. On the event page, go to the Pricing section.
  2. Click Add price band.
  3. Enter a name and a price (the face value patrons pay).
  4. Repeat for each tier.
  5. Click Save.

Time For A Show adds its booking fee on top of the face value you set. Patrons see the total at checkout.

Advanced price matrix

Use this if different sections of your venue have different prices, for example front stalls vs. upper circle.

  1. On the event page, click Switch to advanced pricing.
  2. Define your sections (columns) and price bands (rows).
  3. Enter a price at each intersection.

This mode works with or without a seating plan.

Seating plan pricing

If your event has assigned seating, you assign price bands to seats or zones on the seating plan itself. See the article Creating a seating plan for details.

Booking fees

Time For A Show charges a booking fee per order (not per ticket). The fee is shown transparently to patrons at checkout. You do not need to configure this, it is applied automatically.

Accepting donations

You can add an optional donation field to your checkout by enabling Accept donations in the Pricing section. Patrons can enter any amount. Donations are paid out alongside ticket revenue.
