Customising your ticket design
Time For A Show generates a PDF ticket for every order. You can customise the layout and content of this PDF to match your event branding.
Getting to the ticket designer:
- Go to the event page.
- Click Customise tickets in the event actions area.
The designer interface:
The designer shows a canvas representing a single ticket. A toolbar on the left contains the available elements. The canvas supports drag-to-reposition and resize handles on each element.
Layout options:
Choose how many tickets appear per printed page using the Layout control, with options ranging from 1x1 (one large ticket per page) up to 2x4 (eight smaller tickets per page). Smaller layouts are useful for events where you want patrons to tear off a stub.
Adding content blocks:
Click any element in the toolbar to add it to the canvas:
- Event name: the full title of your event.
- Performance date/time: the specific date and time for the patron's booking.
- Patron name: the name on the order.
- Price band: the ticket tier (e.g. Full price, Concession).
- QR code: a scannable code for door validation. Always include this.
- Seat information: for assigned seating events, shows the patron's row and seat number.
- Custom text: add any fixed text, such as a welcome message or terms.
- Image: upload your organisation logo or event artwork.
- Shape: add dividing lines or coloured blocks.
- Stage indicator: a simple diagram showing stage orientation.
Styling:
Click any element on the canvas to open its style options: font, size, colour, alignment, and background. The canvas itself has options for border style and background image.
Previewing:
Click Preview at any time to see a sample PDF with dummy data filled in.
Saving:
Click Save to apply your design to all future PDF generations for this event. Tickets already downloaded by patrons are not regenerated automatically.
Resetting:
If you want to start over, click Reset to default to restore the standard Time For A Show ticket layout.
